It’s been nearly two years since the release of Avengers Endgame and the decision by Steve Rogers to return to his past following the defeat of Thanos. Now, with the impending release of Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, fans have been theorizing, or perhaps hoping, that Rogers may not quite be finished just yet.
Unfortunately, the fans are wrong according to director Kevin Fiege.
“I rarely answer no to anything anymore because things are always surprising me with what happens, but that rumor, I think, was dispelled rather quickly by the man himself,” Fiege told EW recently.
The statement echos Chris Evans’ response in January when the rumor surface that he would indeed be returning to the MCU as Steve Rogers.
That’s not to say that fans won’t get a bit of Evans as the upcoming mini-series will likely build around the story of Captain America.
