Game of Thrones ended its eight-season run nearly two years ago with, according to many fans, a lackluster final season. Despite the negativity surrounding the final episodes, the interest in the franchise is high and HBO is running with it. Currently, they have five spinoffs in development and recently signed author George R.R. Martin to a five-year contract in which he would be heavily involved in these projects.
