Scream returns in 2022, but who is Ghostface?
25 years after the original, Scream is set to return. The fifth installment of the legendary horror franchise returns us to Woodsboro. When another Ghostface begins terrorizing another group of high school students, old victims return to help put him away. Check out the trailer below.
Returning to help out the new crop of targets are some familiar faces. Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, David Arquette is back as Dewey Riley, and Courtney Cox returns as Gale Weathers. All three survived the first four installments, and are returning to try and help the high schoolers of Westboro survive this copycat attack.

This will be the first Scream film without Director Wes Craven, who passed away in 2015. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett will helm the project. Roger L. Jackson returns as the voice of Ghostface. The new faces include Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ben Ammar, Mikey Madison, Mason Gooding, and Kyle Gallner.
Scream releases in theatres on January 14, 2022.
